Winter flocks

Saw my first Starlings heading off to roost east of Talgarreg yesterday, maybe 5000. This evening there were about 200 Lapwings near Post Bach. Possibly more. A rather larger flock of birds were also on the opposite side of the road as I drove along. Lacking chameleon eyes that face opposite ways I couldn't tell what they were.
