Good views of the Long-tailed Duck, and although we missed some of Tom's birds we had a good morning, with 28 Little Egrets, two Shoveler, a few Pintail and two Little Grebes on the M M pools, A ringail Hen Harrier which made a low pass around the pools was seen later on the saltings, to be followed almost immediately by another one.
As the tide dropped, two Grey Plover and 28 Dunlin joined the Oystercatchers and five Greylags flew down the river.
