Cross Inn and willow tits.

Spent another 3 hours in Cross Inn forest and didn't see a shrike but did see again lots of bullfinches and a loose flock of about 20 Reed Bunts flying away from the rough east of the barrier by the T junction. We suspected a predator had put them up but couldn't see it.
Whilst there heard a Willow Tit and a couple of weeks ago heard one at the dog mess car park so certainly present.
The Rare Breeding Birds report for 2014 states that  there are 3 pairs in Ceredigion and no confirmed breeding so we all ought to be trying rectify that next breeding season.  Willow tit is Red listed and we probably have a significant number here given the singing male reports and the numbers in neighbouring areas : Montgomery has 25 pairs, 1 confirmed breeding and Radnorshire 18 with 7 confirmed breeders.

After our walk we thought about popping over to Eiddwen, wish we had now!
