December Cors Caron WeBS count

I did the December count on Monday, quite low river levels (which unfortunately will have meant the the pollution was flushed out more slowly). nice range of species, notably low raptor numbers, just a few buzzards & kites sitting in trees in the still conditions. Highlights were 140 lapwing just up from Pont Einon, a green sandpiper in front of the bog hide (as per Ian's post last Saturday), a brief glimpse of electric blue as a kingfisher whizzed up the river, 200 wigeon, almost all on Maesllyn, also a water rail calling there and a pair of goosander. I don't have all the numbers from the top end of the bog yet, but 80 more lapwing, 350 teal and 7 whoopers up there.
