Mach Waxwing

Only just out of the county, the lone waxwing was still hanging around in Machynlleth this afternoon.
I arrived at about 2:00 and sat in my car in pouring rain, poor light and gusty wind thinking I hadn't a chance of seeing it in such atrocious conditions.  But after waiting about ten minutes I spotted it in a berry laden tree, exactly where I hoped it might appear, and exactly where I've seen them on previous occasions.
There was only one, and it looked almost as dull and wet as the weather.
But I was pleased to see it - beggars can't be choosers!
