Managed a totter along the prom and saw my first 4 purps of the winter.
Also 29 turnstone off the old college as the tide had just fallen enough for
them to get on exposed rocks.
Agree with Ian re wood warblers and other
spp. I am guilty of not sending in anything but the scantiest of records each
year. If anyone is desperate for wood warblers I would suggest a walk up the Cwm
Einion/Artists Valley road in spring early summer will be productive. I
calculate at least 8-10 pairs along roughly 2km length most years. The footpath
down to the river/footbridge to our place usually produces at least 3
territories.
