Is the Mandarin
drake at Aberaeron now a permanent resident on the river with the mallards? He
was certainly still there yesterday (Tuesday) when we enjoyed a stroll beside the river
river after brunch. He was mentioned some time ago on the blog, but is he just a
normal everyday sighting now?
This year amongst our many starling visitors we have had a number of
starlings visit our garden with white or pale tail feathers. We had often
wondered if it was the same gang of starlings returning everyday, and now we
know that certainly some of our starling visitors are the same ones most
days.

I'm not sure if that section of the river is watched very often , but as far as I know the Mandarin is seen there fairly regularly when the river is checked.
