Ynys-hir and Borth

An excellent morning at Ynys-hir.  A Common Sandpiper on the visitor centre pools was a good start . Decided on the Ynys Feurig hide, picking up a Willow Warbler on the way.
Found Russell in the hide when I arrived, luckily as he had already staked out all the best birds (see his post).  After he left, a Peregrine scattered most of the waders and five Pintail flew upriver.
We joined up again for the Marian Mawr hide, where he found a Gadwall before leaving.
Then the first of at least 30 Sand Martins moved through, followed by my bird of the day, an Osprey way down the estuary, which slowly worked its way upriver, pausing to hover frequently.
Finished at Borth: 30 plus Common Scoter, two Red-throated Divers, a little feeding party of six Gannets and best of all, four Sandwich Terns.
