High tide at the Ynys-feurig hide at Ynys-hir this morning produced: 230 -
Curlew, 18 Bar-tailed Godwits, 2 - Shoveler, 220 Redshank, 1 Spotted Redshank,
22 Greenland Whitefronts and 46 Sand Martins that all passed west.
.At Llanrhystud, 5 Swallows passed south, and around 25 Sand Martins were
feeding around the beach. A Peregrine, Merlin and Kestrel were all present. I
thought my search for an Iceland Gull was finally over when a pure white gull
came into land on the beach. A quick look down the scope ended the excitement as
a leucistic Herring Gull came into focus. It was still an impressive looking gull, I suppose. There were also 10+ Med Gulls amongst the gull flock on the beach.
