Llanrhystyd / Llanon migrants

A cracking morning with Arfon at Llanrhystyd and Llanon. Migration was in full swing. An Arctic Skua moving north early morning was a good start. 2 male Whinchat were my first for the year. Other birds on the move included 60+ Wheatear, the vast majority being Greenland birds (picture below of pale small nominate northern alongside migrant big and bright Greenland bird), 50+ White Wagtail, 5 Med Gulls, 21 Whimbrel, 12 Bar tailed Godwit, 2 Grey Plover, 3 Turnstone. 5 Golden Plover, 25+ Ringed Plover, 40+ Dunlin, 8 Sandwhich Tern, 100+ Common Gull, 12 Common Scoter and a good passage of hirundines. Good to see Harry Pepper too and joining him for a brief seawatch with a few Maxy, 10 Whimbrel, lots of hirundines and a Red Kite picking things up off the sea!
