My first two House Martins of the year flew north from Llanrhystud this morning.
On my way north I found at least four more over the road between Clarach and
Borth. A very enjoyable walk around Cwm Clettwr produced my first Pied
Flycatchers of the year. 6 birds in total (4m and 2f) and a nice surprise in the
form of my first Tree Pipit of the year performing a song-flight to the north
east of the woodland. A quick drive up the Foel Fawr to look for a Ring
Ouzel was unfruitful, there was however a male Redstart singing in a row of
trees nearby.
