Today

Mid morning at Llanon I saw a similar mix of birds to those I'd seen there a few days ago(Whimbrels, S. Terns R. Plovers etc), but no Bar-tailed Godwits, unfortunately. A Sedge Warbler was singing in the bushes on the way down from the church. This evening I counted 7 male Pied Flycatchers at Denmark Farm. Not a systematic count. Rather, a brisk walk to avoid being found any jobs to do by Mrs M. who was running a pizza oven evening there. A pair of Willow Tits were near the small pond and 20 mins later, presumed same on bottom boundary. It would be great if they breed on the reserve. Pizzas were yummy. Felt guilty. Did the washing up.
