A small group of us had a very enjoyable walk on Sunday. Our bird list
was:
heron, mallard , buzzard, kite, pheasant, woodpigeon, stock dove,
house
martin, swallow, pied wagtail, wren, robin, redstart, song
thrush, mistle
thrush, blackbird, blackcap, garden warbler,
whitethroat, willow warbler,
chiffchaff, goldcrest, great tit, coal
tit, blue tit, long-tailed tit,
treecreeper, magpie, jay, jackdaw,crow,
raven, rook, chaffinch, house
sparrow, linnet, and goldfinch.
The views were lovely and the good
weather meant that we saw orange
tip, red admiral, and speckled wood
butterflies as well.
