Small wader numbers are holding up well for the end of May. I was at Ynyslas for the high tide on Thursday morning and numbers were very similar to Mike's from yesterday.
I had counted 130 Ringed Plover and was about to start on the Dunlin, of which there were at least twice as many, when a succession of dog-walkers forced me to give up.
Sanderling were into double figures as well.
