Chris Bird rang me earlier to say that an adult female Red-footed Falcon had been reported this afternoon near Llyn Berwyn.
To cut a long story short, Chris went to look for it this evening and eventually, to his enormous delight, found it.
For anyone who intends to go for it, take the road from Tregaron to Abergwesyn. After about three or four miles, where the road emerges from the forestry, there is a cattle grid and the bird was in that area, perched on wires when Chris saw it.
