ABERYSTWYTH HARBOUR

By high tide this morning the Turnstone numbers had crept up to 5, including four in almost total breeding plumage plus the usual 2 or 3 Common Sandpipers.
In the afternoon 10 Goosanders  including one, possibly two adult females spent a few hours in the mouth of the harbour looking as if they wanted to head out to sea despite the raging, white, foamy water.  Before dusk they were still riding the waves near the harbour entrance.
