Sightings from Chris Bird

On Saturday at Ynyslas were ca40 Dunlin, eight Ringed Plovers, a Sanderling and a Turnstone, both in summer plumage.
During its stay, the King Eider has at times been absent from its usual area on the estuary and this was the case on Saturday, much to the disappointment of a group of people who had travelled quite long distances to see it. Luckily, Chris picked it up well up the estuary and watched as it approached and finally dropped in, much to the relief of the group.
Yesterday there was a Little Grebe on Llyn Eiddwen.
