Ynys-hir via Borth

Rafts of Manx Shearwater totalling around 3000 were loafing around on a flat calm sea off Borth this morning with a very large feeding flock much further out, accompanied by ca90 Gannets. A single Med Gull was on the sea.
The tide didn't come up as high as I had hoped at Ynys-hir, so waders were in short supply, at least from the Saltings hide. All I could manage was a Whimbrel, three Common Sandpipers and a few Redshank and Curlews.
A cream-crown Marsh Harrier hunted the far bank then an Osprey flew down the estuary, gaining height until I lost it somewhere near Aberdyfi.
