Chris Bird's recent report of this gull in Aberystwyth Harbour is its 23rd sighting!
Ringed as a pullus in 2010 it has regularly travelled down to Portugal for the winter and to us in July and August, visiting Antwerp in June so possibly going back to its natal area on Oost-Vlaanderen to breed once it became adult.
I saw it as a juv at the Limekilns 2010, Chris saw it in 2012, 2016 in Aber, John D in Llanon 2014 and Chemij Wasel photographed it in Aber in 2015.
These ringing reports reveal the importance of feeding areas along migration routes and a high degree of site fidelity.
