Tan Y Bwlch

It was initially very quiet at Tan Y Bwlch this afternoon, with only 2 Wheatears and some Sparrows keeping me company. This changed quite suddenly when, where the river bends, a lively group of 11 young Goosanders turned up, swimming in formation, diving, and then all regrouping for the next formation swim. They made my day!

Unfortunately a helicopter came thundering over and made them frantically paddle for cover. Apologies for the poor photo quality, I only had my phone with me.
