Cors Caron

A lovely bright autumn morning, with barely a breath of wind.  A good start at Pont Einon, as a flock of 17 Snipe flew over, then 45 Lapwings settled nearby.  Best of all was a ringtail Hen Harrier which worked its way up the bog.
A Kingfisher flashed across as I arrived at Maesllyn.  On the water were a pair of Tufted Ducks, a Teal, two Moorhens and a Little Grebe, and four Greylag Geese flew over.
Then, as I was scanning over the bog from beside the farm track, a ringtail Hen Harrier came along and settled on a bush.  I assumed it was the same bird as earlier until another one flew by, heading north.
I ended up in the bog hide, where there were another four Little Grebes and five Mute Swans (there had been five near Pont Einon earlier so possibly same birds), and joining the soaring Buzzards and Kites was a male Kestrel.
