YNYSLAS

At high tide this morning on the Leri side there were about 40 Sandwich Terns and a couple of Snipe at the water's edge.
It was hard to assess the number of birds at the Point  as they were often restless, especially when a Peregine flew over and many were tucked away in the pebbles. The total looked less than the 2,500 during the previous high tides last month.
Amongst the masses of Dunlin and Ringed Plovers were 9 Sanderling, 2 Knot and single Turnstone and Golden Plover. A noisy Whimbrel flew over.
