Not living far from Wenallt we decided this morning (Sunday) to try for the Hawfinch
found by Arfon - with success! We approached the hornbeams from the east and as
we got quite close a hawfinch flew out and followed the river heading east. We
couldn't relocate it again but flushed a woodcock as we ventured further along
the footpath.
We also had a Brambling in the garden last week in Llanfihangel-y-Creuddyn,
but only for a few hours and then it wasn't seen again.
