I was fishing on the pier on Tuesday morning. I had the binos
with me. There were 8 scoter on the water in the direction of the reef cardinal
mark and a single great crested grebe initially off the factory but then at the
back of the pier. I would presume that the scoter are the same group that have
been reported previously. A single porpoise was working up and down the tide
run. Wisely they only seen to turn up when the dolphins are absent.
