A walk from Llanrhystud towards Llanon yesterday. 24 wheatear ,a dozen
swallows ,the sand martins are back at their colony, a common whitethroat singing
at lime kilns where I met Simon Cox who had seen whimbrel on flooded field (which isn't so flooded
now).went back and there were 5 still there in spite of a couple of dogs in the
field.also one white wag
