Red-necked Phalarope at Ynys-hir
Had
a great day on the Cletwr, Leri and Ynys Hir yesterday in stunning September sun.
Along with the usual suspects, the highlights were whimbrel and a ruff near the
mouth of the Leri and what I am pretty convinced was a 1st winter/ juvenile red- necked phalarope on the lagoon in front of the Ynys Feurig hide at Ynys Hir.

What a find. I believe the first Red-necked Phalarope in the county since the one at Ynyslas in 2002 which some of us were lucky enough to watch at close range.
