High tide: Ynys-hir

I decided to watch the incoming  5.3m tide from the Saltings hide this morning. A few odds and ends joined the 60 or so Curlews and ca80 Oystercatchers, i.e. two Lapwings, five Redshank and singles of Bar-tailed and Black-tailed Godwit. Four Snipe flew over.
The Red-breasted Goose was with the Barnacles, Pintail now up to 36, two Great Crested Grebes on the Dyfi and best of all, a fine ringtail Hen Harrier was hunting across the river as I walked back via the Saltings hide.

P.S.  Chris had 36 Med Gulls on College Rocks yesterday evening.
