New Quay Head

Kendal Evans and I did a couple of hours observing at the lookout today.  There were 100+ gannets actively feeding about a mile offshore and also a mixed bag of gulls and auks. I watched a great skua pursuing a gull and forcing it down to the sea three times before finally appearing to drown it. Is this normal behaviour?
Later Kendal picked up two artic skuas on the prowl. One a dark morph and the other intermediate. On the cliff edge three buzzards, kestrel, kite, 2 chough, linnets (app 50) and goldfinch (app 25).
