Ynyslas

At the tern posts at Ynyslas this morning there were 5 Grey Plovers, 2 Turnstones, 40 Dunlin, c.300 Golden Plover and a few other things that I have now forgotten. Ynys Tachwedd fields had c.250 Lapwing, c.50 Curlews, 40 odd Redshank, 60 Skylarks, 300 Linnets and I'm sure there was other things in a flock of finches in flight over the crop field. There were two Black-tailed Godwits there the other day. Spent most of my free hour or so trying to read a ring off a Meadow Pipit near the brickhouse, got a couple of numbers mid sequence '14', bit of a shame really, as it was running around my feet at one point!
