3 GOOD BIRDS

After yesterday's disappointing time at Ynyslas Turn I went back this afternoon and had more luck. Yesterday we had about a dozen or so Common Scoters and nothing else. Today: 247 Common Scoters and  3 Velvets, close in together. Then rain stopped play.
The 2nd good Bird was Chris who rang to tell me I was at the wrong place because 3 Eider were at Aberystwyth.
Back home, having not found the Eider, Chris calls round and we go to the north side of the pier and there they were.
My excuses for the poor digi-scoped photo of the imm. male Eider are: the light was dreadful; it was raining; it kept diving; I was using Chris' angled scope which I find hard to handle and the tripod legs would not tighten. Everything else was fine.
