brief birding

A quick jaunt to Llansantffraed this morning didn't reveal too much unusual but inc. the leucistic Oystercatcher and a very close RT Diver. On the way home there were huge numbers of Lapwings at Ty Gwyn pools, perhaps a thousand, and a similar number of Mallard. However, I believe the latter are all or mostly bred/released there?
