At high tide this morning I went and looked at Ynys Tachwedd fields and I was greeted by a superb gathering of birds. Estimates of the birds present included 1100 Golden Plover, 400 Dunlin, 300 Lapwing, 40 Curlew, 60 Redshank, 1 Greenshank, 20 Oystercatchers, 29 Stock Doves, 100 Teal (400+ more in Leri mouth area), 40 Pintail, 50 Mallards, 50 Skylarks and 40 Linnets.
A brief seawatch from the brickhouse produced a flock of 12 Dunlin and 4 adult LBBG's flying north.
