What a change in the weather as Bob and I joined forces this morning; dull, damp and grey, though it was fairly mild and calm and the rain held off for most of our visit.
We decided to walk the track to the Leri past the boatyard then along to the beach car park. No sign of Twite, just lots of Reed Buntings, also 12 Stock Doves in the usual field. A pair of Red-breasted Mergansers among the usual wildfowl. Pick of the waders were a Greenshank which flew up the estuary and a flock of ca300 Golden Plovers which appeared over Aberdyfi and continued south.
Earlier at the turn car park the four Velvet Scoter were still there, along with ca60 Common sp.
