I was surprised to find two Velvet Scoters off Ynyslas this morning, in between the point and the brickhouse. Also offshore were 2 Red-throated Divers, a Shelduck and a small flock of Common Scoter. 5 Red-breasted Mergansers and around 25 Ringed Plovers were seen from the point. 50 Goldfinches, 5 Redpoll, 41 Linnets, 6 Siskins, 7 Sand Martins, a Peregrine and 255 Meadow Pipits flew over
