Some good movement yesterday at Ynyslas despite the late start, with 466 Meadow Pipits, 64 alba Wagtails, 9 Sand Martins and a small selection of finches flying north. A Curlew, 45 Black-headed Gulls and 6 Common Gulls came in off the sea and flew up the estuary. 4 Chiffchaffs, 3 Bar-tailed Godwits, a Grey Plover and a White Wagtail were at Ynyslas also and a single flock of 14 Magpies at Ynys Tachwedd.
This morning was fairly poor for bird movement as the wind direction was wrong but 62 Meadow Pipits, 13 alba Wagtails and a Sand Martin flew north.

p.s. Tomorrows forecast is looking like almost perfect spring movement conditions, so there should be a big push of stuff moving northwards. I've probably jinxed it now!
