I'm sure most of you will already know that a Common Crane was present at RSPB Ynys-hir this afternoon. I arrived in Ynysfeurig hide at about 5:00 pm but there was no sign of the bird - my thoughts at the time are unprintable.
But after a few minutes the crane flew in from the estuary and landed enabling good but distant views. It was still present when I left at about 5:25.
