Another morning at Cross Inn Forest

Another trip to Cross Inn forest this morning got off to a great start when on opening the front door I was greeted to a Garden Warbler in full song and full view in the Ash tree which overlooks my front garden.
Ten minutes later I was at Cross Inn Forest where I spent just over two hours in the glorious sunshine. Best birds were one singing Tree Pipit, Five Crossbills, four Redstarts (3 males, particularly stunning at the moment), four+ Spotted Flycatcher, one singing Lesser Redpoll, five Siskins, one each of Grey and Pied Wagtails. All birds seen well in bins or scope within 500m of the entrance  barrier, especially in the felled area on the opposite side of the track from the second woodpile on the rh side. 3 cuckoos calling from different areas but could have been one bird.
Unfortunately tried unsuccessfully again last night for the Nightjar, lots of churring, one bout of wing clapping, but no flying.
