Highlight of the walk last night was a superb male nightjar on the peat bog, and a couple of grasshopper warblers. This made up for a disappointing 40 minutes in the Ynys Feurig hide where birds were hard to come by - highlights were 2 adult lapwings and 3 redshank. 7 mallard and 4 Canada geese the only wildfowl. The estuary was very quiet -the highlight was 3 curlew, and 2 little egret.
