Unusual nest site
John Davis has sent this photograph of a Herring Gull which has built a nest in a very vulnerable place in the centre of Aberystwyth.
This behaviour is not unknown in Herring Gulls; their choice of nesting sites is sometimes eccentric, and, as John says, this bird is still immature.
