Aberystwyth seawatch

It was wet and windy on the prom when I arrived this morning, but mild in the shelter of the castle.  Dull, gloomy and misty to start, so I could only see the closer Manx Shearwaters and Gannets, all moving south as was a party of 11 Black-tailed Godwits.
Soon the rain cleared, visibility improved, Helen arrived and we enjoyed a fairly light but continuous passage of manxies and Gannets at close range, while in the distance Gannets began to move through in flocks of ca25 to 50 or so; at least 200 in total.
Apart from the above, also heading south were a Fulmar, around 10 Kittiwakes and 14 Common Scoter (12, 2) all males.
