An hour at the layby this morning produced three Black-tailed Godwits and two Common Sandpipers, plus a very high count of 42 Goosanders. Other wildfowl numbers building up, with ca 90 Mallard and 28 Teal.
An Osprey ventured downriver past the railway bridge where its attempts to fish were thwarted by some determined mobbing by Black-headed Gulls.
