Paul Bennett and I arrived at Llansantffraed shortly after high tide. A flock of the usual small waders was very flighty, making counting difficult, but we eventually came up with minima of 25 Turnstones, five Dunlin and seven Ringed Plovers. 12 Curlews made a brief appearance and 39 Oystercatchers remained on the beach.
At Llanrhystud later the highlight was a very smart male Wheatear.
