Great egret

A great egret was on the pools below the Marian Mawr hide today (and also yesterday) along with a kingfisher and two green sandpipers. Teal numbers on the reserve are increasing with about 400 below the Ynys Feurig hide and the feral barnacle geese from Derwent water, Cumbria have come on their winter holiday with around 270 on the salt marsh so far.
