Aberystwyth and Ynyslas

A quick look at the sea wall in Aberystwyth at high tide this morning revealed seven roosting Turnstones (very unusual on the wall, they usually stay on the beach) and a Kingfisher fluttering around as though it was trying to perch on the wall.  No purp yet.
At Ynyslas the highlight was four Pink-footed Geese which flew in off the sea and continued SE.  A flock of 370 Golden Plover eventually settled on a shingle bank on the falling tide and were joined by 15 Ringed Plover, 12 Dunlin, nine Redshank and a Knot.  A 1w Mediterranean Gull was nearby.
