I didn't mean to have a seawatch this morning but as I was checking the wall two Gannets flew north before I got out of the car, so it had to be worth a go.
A large movement was taking place, almost everything heading north. During an hour's watch, hundreds of Black-headed Gulls passed, plus good numbers of Herring, a few Common, 10 Kittiwakes and three Med Gulls.
Auks were were mostly quite distant: the final count was 325. Also totals of 74 Gannets and 15 Common Scoters.
Other odds and ends were a Redshank on the stone breakwater at the point, and a Kingfisher which paused briefly on there later.
John joined me for a while before heading off to Cross Inn Forest. You can guess what he was looking for.
