Inland migration

Very swift, brief walk at Long Wood (Llangybi) this morning in heavy rain. Back at the car park in a lull there were about 50 Siskins, and a Swallow flew over, then another. Before the next deluge ten minutes later I counted 58 heading east plus 6 Redwings. Since visibility at the car park is very restricted (surrounded by tall trees) I'm thinking a lot more than that must have been on the move.
