Yesterday at Cymerau (north side of Foel fawr) there were 220 fieldfares, the biggest flock I had seen locally for some time.
However, passing SW or west over Furnace this morning during a 30 minute period, I saw 1660 redwing, 540 fieldfare, with smaller numbers of mistle and song thrush. Also a single flock of 1500 starling was unusual for here.
