Ring-necked Duck

It was pretty misty when I arrived at Llyn Pendam around 9.30 but the Ring-necked Duck was there and I had reasonable views.  Andre Morgan turned up soon afterwards and had good enough views to nail it before the mist intensified and enveloped everything.
I decided to  hang on after Andre left but it was after 11.00 before the weather cleared and  the bird became visible, eventually showing well and at fairly close range..  I would say it's a 1st w male, judging by the plain dark head and breast.
No sign of the Goldeneye so before leaving I drove up to Llyn Syfydrin and there was------a female Goldeneye.
Crossbills were calling early on and I got good views of a feeding male.  A flyover Sparrowhawk was one of the few other birds seen.
