Very little to be seen at Aberystwyth; best I could manage was 20 Turnstones. Then to Ynyslas turn car park, where 460 Common Scoter were mostly close in, though no sign of Velvets. A Red-throated Diver on the sea and a Great Northern Diver flew north.
On to Ynyslas, where I met up with some of the people who had attended yesterday's very enjoyable WOS annual conference in Aberystwyth. They were on a fine Great Northern Diver, over towards the Leri mouth. Two in one morning! The tide had pushed up two Grey Plovers and a Sanderling.
On the sea, three Great Crested Grebes and a Red-throated Diver.
