Helen and I had a chilly hour on the prom yesterday morning. Very little out at sea; just a flock of 17 Common Scoter and a single Red-throated Diver passing.
Six Curlews were flushed off College Rocks on the rising tide (courtesy of Helen; I missed most of them) and one Purple Sandpiper was on the wall when we left. There have been six in the roost on most of my recent visits. 10 Turnstones also flew past the point.
